Q: What’s the title of your new book?
A: BEACH TOWN by Mary Kay Andrews
Q: Describe the book in one sentence.
A: Movie location scout Greer Hennessy goes looking for the perfect camera-ready beach town in Florida and finds that and much, much more.
Q: What books are on your bedside table?
A: Right now it's mostly notebooks so I can jot down ideas for next summer's book, which is set on a barrier island off the coast of N.C. But I'm also reading Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale and Amy Poehler's Yes, Please!

A: My whole adult life. I was a newspaper reporter for 14 years, and have been writing fiction for 24 years. BEACH TOWN is my 23rd published novel.
Q: Book you wish you could read again for the first time?
A: The Family Man, by Elinor Lipman

Q: Favorite book and why:
A: Rebecca, by Daphne duMaurier--Romance, intrigue, mystery, brooding atmosphere, a great sweeping story.
Q: What brings you to the Outer Banks?
A: I originally came to the Outer Banks to research SUMMER RENTAL, which is set in Nag's Head, but I love coming back whenever I can.
