At the Bookstore This Week: 5/27/15

We just had the dandiest time with all of the wonderful authors who visited with us this weekend! An Island Bookstore shout out to Suzanne Tate, David McCullough and Mary Kay Andrews – thank you for kicking off the summer with us!

What we’re reading:

Carrie: just finished The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor – “It’s an exciting read, a good twists on Alice in Wonderland; different from others I have read”Looking Glass Wars

Cindy: Tuesday morning picked up Charlie Martz and other Stories by Elmore Leonard – her first Leonard, so we look forward to hearing what she has to say about him

Charlie MartzLori Jo: just finished Beach Town in anticipation of Mary Kay Andrew’s signing – “I really enjoyed Beach Town. It’s a perfect summer beach read. What made it especially fun was getting to talk to Ms. Andrews afterwards about her process writing it. What a sweet, fun lady she is! I’m a fan!”

Melissa: just finished Tiny Little Thing by Beatriz Williams – “I really enjoy all of her books” – and The Sound of Glass by Karen White – “I just started it last night so we’ll see…”
