Come by and pick up these books, perfect for your next book club meeting!
Q: What’s the title of your new book?
A: The Heirloom Brooch and The Heirloom Pearls
Q: Describe the book in one sentence.
A: The Heirloom Brooch tells the story of a treasured family heirloom from the 1860’s to the present time through the lives of nine women, but only the last woman knows it is a fake. The Heirloom Pearls features two women, mother and daughter, as they chafe against Louisville’s society in the 1860’s and 1870’s, but with oh so different consequences.
Q: What books are on your bedside table?
A: 84, Charing Cross Road, Helene Hanff
The Perfect Witness, Iris Johansen
The Angel Court Affair, Anne Perry
Missing You, Harlan Coben
State of Wonder, Ann Patchett
The Philosophy Book , Will Buckingham
One Summer, Bill Bryson
Q: How long have you been writing?
A: Ten years
Q: Book you wish you could read again for the first time?
A: The Rainbow, D. H. Lawrence
A: Short History of a Small Place by T. R. Pearson because the humor is amazing, the word choices exquisite, and the coming of age story reminded me of the small town I grew up in, Webster, Indiana.
Q: What brings you to the Outer Banks?
A: My family has been vacationing here since the 60’s. We stayed in the old Nags Head Inn before it burnt.
