Q: What’s the title of your new book?
A: Regime Change
Q: Describe the book in one sentence.
A: CIA’s woman in North Africa is on a fast track to the top of her profession, married to the Agency’s Inspector General, until the Arab Spring happens and a cyberwar operation goes bad and her world falls apart
Q: What books are on your bedside table?
A: Jostein Gaarder’s SOPHIE’S WORLD, Adam Johnson’s THE ORPHAN MASTER’S SON, and Martin Cruz Smith’s, WOLVES EAT DOGS.
Q: How long have you been writing?
A: A lifelong love.
Q: Book you wish you could read again for the first time?
A: My own. I’d love to be able to read them for the first time.
Q: Favorite book and why:
A: I don’t even have a top 10. There are so many beautifully written books, my favorite at any moment is generally the one I’m reading … or writing.
Q: What brings you to the Outer Banks?
A: Friendship. We come to enjoy the Outer Banks and each other’s company for one week out of the year.
