What We’re Reading:

Carson – just read H is for Hawk by Helen MacDonald – “Even though falconry and grief seems like an odd mix, I cannot recommend this book enough – poignant, touching, altogether beautiful and fascinating to read.” – and Saint Mazie by Jami Attenberg – “A novel written as a mix of diary entries and interviews, based on a legendary NYC character. You’ll fall in love with Maizie and her sometimes abrasive but lovable spunk.” – and Don’t Ever Change by  by M. Beth Bloom – “This is the book my 18-year-old self dreamed of; great for fans of John Green and/or Perks of Being a Wallflower [Stephen Chbosky].” – and currently reading Dept. of Speculation by Jenny Offill  – “A short book that I could have already easily finished, but I can’t help but savor the language. I don’t want it to end, but I know that when it does, there will be sentences/phrases left in my for a while afterward.”
