In the late-1990’s, previous owner Bill built a new Island Bookstore in Corolla on the former footprint of a general store. The two-story building, intended to replicate the historic general store which inspired its design, sits just North of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, next to the Historic Corolla Chapel. Can’t find it? While heading North on HWY 12, take a left on Schoolhouse Lane (you’ll see Twiddy Realty on the corner). 
The road will dead-end; take a right and the store is just down on your left. Check out more about the Historic Corolla Village or see everything on a map.
Our second store, Island Bookstore-Corolla remains open year-round. With two floors of books to explore, you’ll find your time fly by when you come for a visit.
